Ningaloo Discovery Whale Shark Tours

We went on the Investigator, and the crew were fantastic. They were all very considerate and accommodating to everyone on the boat.The Whale Shark experience was not quite what I expected. The Whale Shark is there for one reason, to feed, so it really doesn't care about you, unless you are in it's way.The crew understand this very well and do their best position you in line with the Whale Shark, and they do a good job of it.Hot tip... The stronger the swimmer you are, the better, because keeping up with a Whale Shark is not easy.

Absolutely incredible! We loved the tour and luckily got to swim with 4 whale sharks !! We jumped in about 6 times and every time I felt safe in the open ocean as you were always with a crew member and other people. The crew were amazing we loved them you can really tell they love their job. We got a good amount of food and drinks and never went hungry.For this price I would definitely pay again ! It was a one of a kind experience and everything was perfect. To top of the day there is a sun deck on top which we got to lie down and enjoy the view. If you’re looking for a company to go with this is the one definitely.Thank you guys it was incredible!

Ningaloo Discovery is a great whale shark tour operator, respecting the marine encounter guidelines and rules. The briefings were detailed for the beginners, but still succinct for the more experienced.All the staff were thoughtful, kind, and passionate about their craft. Each worked together to make for a really enjoyable day on the water. The photos shared were also of excellent quality with the photographer working hard to ensure we all got our photo with a whale shark (at least all who attempted to keep up with the animal).The Marlin board also had a ladder for those who needed a different mode of water exit which was great as upper body strength waned throughout the day.Highly recommend

We had a really nice experience on the catamaran. It was a great boat and felt very roomy which was nice. We got to swim with three whale sharks and the snorkels before and after were really great as well. We saw some pretty incredible wildlife and it was great to spend a day out on the water. I know this isn't always the case but we found our first whale shark within just a few minutes of looking. We were all scrambling to get ready! The guides were great and friendly and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable.

The ultimate experience. What an incredible day with a brilliant team. So professional and experienced. Their attention to detail was second to none: service, care, catering, equipment. I would highly recommend this tour company and will definitely be returning. 10/10

We had an absolutely amazing time with the Ningaloo Discovery Whale Shark Tour! Not only were the Arlia and the crew are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind, but our water guide Claudia went above and beyond! She recognized that my mate was not a strong swimmer and hadn't had a photo with the passing whale shark, she basically became a machine and brought my mate from the back of the whole group and got her side by side with the whale shark and photographer. I still don’t know how she did it, it was that big of a feat!Ash is such an amazing photographer and even captured a couple pics of my partner and I as we were on our honeymoon <3. Lizzy was an excellent captain and was able to get us not only with some whale sharks, but also a blue whale!!! Near the end we got to do a net drag and the one and only Enzo braved the rapids and took care of everyone participating.Thank you crew for an unforgettable experience!Always thankful,Brandi, Vanessa, Amee, and Char

Wow! That's all I can say. China, Claudia, Ash and the girls in water - we couldn't have asked for a more fantastic day. They went above and beyond in absolutely every part. Taking young kids aboard an experience like this is always a slight risk/challenge but not today. The Discovery girls were fantastic with our girls, the swims and the whale sharks - once in a lifetime! - and we are so grateful. Thankyou all again!Highly recommend to families as this was the review I was looking for when booking. It's a short day out and our 3 and 5 year old were kept entertained on the boat with all the antics of off/on/off/on following the big fish. I rang around to many companies in the region and Ningaloo Discovery offered the best tour to accomodate us. Just do it!

Had the most amazing day on the Whale Shark tour with Tash, Flo, Michelle, Lauren, Josh and Lani who were all really enthusiastic and so friendly. We had loads of opportunities to get in and swim with the whale sharks and we got to see 6 different sharks! It also felt really safe the whole time. The team even told us it was one of the best days of the season with 50 whale sharks swimming around!! We also got to do two snorkelling stops and saw lots of turtles.We did the catamaran trip and the boat was absolutely gorgeous. We also got all photos included from the day which was great!! The food was lovely and the glass of sparkling wine at the end was also a great addition. The whole day was incredible and we left feeling so happy!!! Was even better than we could have imagined!

We did a last minute booking of the sunset whale watching on the day itself because our snorkeling activity was cancelled due to bad weather the day before.Whale sightings were not guaranteed but thankfully we managed to spot the whales from afar. The weather was great and sunset was beautiful. I enjoyed my time on the catamaran, which was spacious for everyone to sit comfortably on. A glass of sparkling wine and cheese board were served by the crew.

We had an amazing experience with the Ningaloo Discovery team on both the Whaleshark swim & then following up with their catamaran sunset cruise. We were amazed at the Whalesharks, how big & how close (safely & respectfully) you get. They were very focussed on making sure we were safe & so were the sharks. There's a bit more swimming than you might expect so be prepared for that. Some not so strong swimmers in the group did struggle. Thank you to Ash, Claudia, Liz & their whole team.
